Product details
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation in human medicine is an uncommon occurrence for both laypeople and professionals. The first chapter of this book briefly presents the ERC guidelines from 2010. The main part focuses on the professional profiles of three healthcare professions (physicians, nursing professionals, and emergency medical personnel) within the Austrian healthcare system. Finally, the book addresses the medical order to withhold cardiopulmonary resuscitation - "Do not resuscitate" or "Allow natural death" - from the perspective of Austrian legal doctrine, including possible representation options for adults, and presents corresponding solution proposals for users.
