Jannis' show ambitions are on hold at the moment, because Dari, his promising show jumper, can't be ridden after a traumatic experience. Instead, he helps Frida get her pony Liv fit for the annual beach derby. The derby is a tradition: for years it has been the event for Gut Eldenau, so everyone throws themselves enthusiastically into the preparations. But then a girl is injured in a riding accident and the estate's horses fall into disrepute. Even the beach derby is cancelled. Their ponies are supposed to be unpredictable?
