Jeremy Marsh is on the verge of a major breakthrough as a science journalist. He has specialized in debunking supposedly supernatural phenomena and has just exposed a psychic on live camera. Now, a new case lures him to Boone Creek, North Carolina, where he is to uncover the truth behind the ghostly light phenomena in the cemetery. However, contrary to all his well-ordered plans, he falls head over heels in love with Lexie, who just happens to be the granddaughter of the village fortune teller.
