THE MINE: When a group of police officers receives an emergency call from a mining company, they find it strangely completely abandoned. The employees' cars are still parked in the car park, even the coffee in the cups is still warm, but there is no trace of the workers. It soon turns out that they are trapped, in a nightmare of almost Lovecraftian proportions ... for buried under tons of stone and earth, something has been waiting for millions of years to be freed from its dungeon. Now it is awake. And it's hungry. Holly's not herself anymore. Once she had been a beautiful young woman - healthy, strong and full of love for her husband Richard. When she became pregnant, he had been intoxicated. Finally they would have a child together to make their happiness perfect. But then Holly begins to change. She starts reading strange old books and hanging out a lot with the mysterious midwife Mrs Crouch. With each passing day, more of the woman Richard married disappears, gradually transforming into something evil and monstrous. The child she is carrying is not his. In fact, it is not even human. It is an unspeakable, hellish horror, and Holly will give birth to it.
