The Mine: When a group of police officers receives an emergency call from a mining company, they find it strangely completely abandoned. The employees' cars are still in the parking lot, even the coffee in the cups is still warm, yet there is no sign of the workers. It quickly becomes clear that they are trapped in a nightmare of almost Lovecraftian proportions, for buried under tons of stone and earth lies something that has been waiting for millions of years to be freed from its prison. Now it is awake. And it is hungry.

Mother: Holly is no longer herself. Once, she was a beautiful young woman – healthy, strong, and full of love for her husband Richard. When she became pregnant, he was overjoyed. Finally, they would have a child together to make their happiness complete. But then Holly begins to change. She starts reading strange old books and spends a lot of time with the mysterious midwife Mrs. Crouch. With each passing day, more of the woman Richard married disappears, gradually transforming into something evil, monstrous. The child she carries is not his. In fact, it is not even human. It is an unspeakable, hellish horror, and Holly will bring it into the world.
