Die Lettischen Volkslieder

The content of this work is already reflected in the title of the book: "Realities and Their Representation in the German Translations of Latvian Folk Songs." Language is the cornerstone of national culture and is thus connected to national peculiarities. Therefore, the work determines the role of realities in Latvian Dainas, fulfilling the following tasks: identifying the realities in the Dainas within the context of lyrical translation, outlining the key aspects of reality representation, and characterizing the realities in the context of translation studies. Finally, it should be noted that research in this area is still in its early stages, and there is unfortunately a lack of comparative foundations.
