Product details

For over 40 years, Brian Johnson has been the lead singer of AC/DC, the most successful hard rock band of all time. For the first time, he shares his life story - one of the most entertaining tales in rock 'n' roll history. Brian grew up in modest circumstances in northern England, and from an early age, he was determined to become a rock singer. For over a decade, Brian Johnson tried to make a name for himself with various bands, but great success seemed out of reach. It wasn't until he was 31 years old - after what seemed like a failed career, a failed marriage, and a series of odd jobs - that his big break came: he was invited to audition for AC/DC, already one of the biggest rock bands in the world at the time, in London. The band was in a deep crisis following the unexpected death of their frontman and was immediately taken with the down-to-earth man from the north. He got the job! What followed was a remarkable success story: the first album together, "Back in Black," became the best-selling rock album of all time, countless sold-out tours followed, and the fan base grew immensely. AC/DC - and Brian Johnson - achieved cult status. The abrupt end of this high-flying career came for Brian in 2016. During a tour in America, his hearing suddenly deteriorated, and he faced a choice: either he quits immediately or risks complete hearing loss. This could have meant the end of Brian Johnson's journey in the music world. However, in 2020, he made a triumphant return to the band with the successful album "Power Up." It's a rollercoaster ride through the extraordinary life of a man who has always remained true to his roots despite all his global success. Features: 16 pages of photo content.
