Although the structures and processes within the Artists' Social Security have stabilized after initial difficulties, the situation has not become calmer. The aim of this work is to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the Artists' Social Security through an analysis of the current legal situation and to provide alternatives for reform to make the Artists' Social Security future-proof. The following criteria are applied: the concept of the Artists' Social Security, financing, the Artists' Social Fund, compensation associations, and financing by users. A structural enforcement deficit in the collection of the Artists' Social Contribution by compensation associations is identified, which leads to the unconstitutionality of the Artists' Social Security.
