Siblings Karl and Rosa lead a simple life on the island of Feudalia. They help on their parents' farm, play in the woods, and gather the much-needed firewood for the family. But one morning, they find a sign: "Collecting wood is prohibited. Wood thieves will be punished." This ban is just the beginning of a significant change that turns the siblings' lives upside down. Soon, the family is driven off their farm. In the city, their parents, like most islanders, must now work in factories established by wealthy gentlemen from the neighboring island of Capitalia. While father and mother toil harder than ever, the money barely covers rent and food. The people of Feudalia were promised prosperity for all, but that promise remains unfulfilled. But does it have to be this way?

Why do the workers see none of the wealth they help create? Why is prosperity so unevenly distributed? In search of answers, Karl and Rosa face a puzzle—until they have a brilliant idea. A fighting story about solidarity and the courage to change things together.
