Die Kinder von Ostia

An exciting story about the lives of the first Christians in Ostia, the port city of ancient Rome. In the port city of Ostia near Rome, a Christian community meets secretly. Jewish Christians are part of it, as well as locals. The children of the community become friends; when a teenager of Germanic descent joins them, they witness his conversion, but also the resulting persecution of Christians. The story introduces children to the world in which Christianity emerged. Important elements of faith, such as the Eucharist, baptism, death, and resurrection, are conveyed through the experiences of the young Christians in a relatable way.
