Charley Webb is a journalist and a single mother of two children. One day, she receives a shocking email: Jill Rohmer, who has been convicted of the cold-blooded murder of three children and is awaiting her execution in prison, offers Charley her story exclusively for a book project. At first, Charley hesitates, but eventually she agrees. However, while she begins her initial research on Jill, she receives horrifying threat letters announcing the death of her children. Charley is beside herself with fear, as she suspects that she has summoned spirits that could bring disaster to her and her family.
