Helgoland 1925. The island is experiencing a time of splendor and wealth. The whole world seems to have fallen in love with the cliffs and wants to celebrate life there. Tine Tiedkens has built a new life for herself as a florist and midwife after the difficult war and post-war years. Initially, everything also falls into place for her daughter Henriette when her husband Otto secures the wealthy banker Silberbach as a patron for his boat building.
