Indirect representation has so far been only rudimentarily addressed in German-language literature. This study, titled "Indirect Representation – A Contribution to the Doctrine of Consent Transactions," aims to fill this gap.

The author discusses the definition of indirect representation and its distinction from other legal concepts. Furthermore, the author identifies the typical protection deficits arising from the principle of relativity for the individuals involved in indirect representation and presents potential solutions. Finally, the work clarifies how, on one hand, the acquisition from a third party and the subsequent transfer to the indirectly represented party occur, and on the other hand, how assets of the indirectly represented party can be effectively transferred by the indirect representative to the third party.
