Die Hure H

The art figure "Hure H" is the result of a collaboration between writer Katrin de Vries and illustrator Anke Feuchtenberger. The Hure H stories challenge societal constructions of sex, gender, and identity, radically breaking with traditional notions. The narratives are told from an unmistakably female perspective, evading clichéd views of female bodies, experiences, and lives, while revealing the beauty and danger of the hidden. The complete edition of the Hure H trilogy provides an excellent impression of the versatility of Anke Feuchtenberger's work. The illustrator, born in Berlin (GDR), was awarded the Max and Moritz Prize for outstanding lifetime achievement by the Comic-Salon Erlangen in 2020.
