Product details

The rapid loss of humus and the swift increase of carbon dioxide are closely linked: We have too little carbon in the soil and too much in the atmosphere. The motto is therefore: "Back to the roots!" A global increase in humus of just one percent would be enough to reduce the CO2 levels in the atmosphere to a safe level. What sounds simple is indeed so, as the methods have been known for centuries. Under labels like permaculture or carbon farming, they are currently experiencing a renaissance: gardening with Terra Preta, farming without plowing, directing microbial processes, or revitalizing crops - all these methods enrich the soil with humus and thus enable healthy food production. From a global perspective, the "humus revolution" is therefore the most important beacon of hope for worldwide nutrition.
