We Gnostics analyze the nature of the influences of the planets to determine that the plants corresponding to them have the same properties in their effects. This proves the scientific basis that alchemical preparations have in medicine. Our lives, and to a certain extent our health, depend on the influence of the stars and how they affect the quantity or composition of the metals we carry in our blood, as well as our hormones. Hence the necessity to strive for harmony in order to dispel disease, which is disharmony, by consuming the juices of plants and thus the subtle elements. We have justified the foundation of our therapy with the aforementioned by partially removing the mysterious veil that surrounds everything, in order to uncover the truth through scientific means, which is the only way to establish a strong conviction that breaks through the superficial belief that everything related to our teachings is based on a nebulous delusion.
