Wolf Erlbruch, born in 1948, is professor of illustration at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. In addition to numerous awards, Wolf Erlbruch received the Gutenberg Prize of the City of Leipzig and the Special Prize of the German Youth Literature Prize in 2003 for his complete works, as well as the Hans Christian Andersen Prize in 2006.
