The second volume of the "God Wars" is marked by an ancient conspiracy: After an adventurous journey, the half-elf Leandra, accompanied by Sword Major Blix, reaches the capital city of Illian. There, she is to ascend the throne over the three realms and bring new hope to the people of the besieged city. However, War Lord Corvulus has gathered the enemy's army before Illian and issued a terrible ultimatum. The pyres of the white flame are already blazing in the capital, and the rogue Wiesel finds himself caught between the fronts of the religious fanatics. Leandra has little time left to change the fate of Illian before she is accused of heresy and sentenced to death.
