These were Karl Valentin's words in 1940. But what does the adjective 'strange' actually say about a person? First of all, a stranger geographically comes from a different region, state, or living space, which fundamentally distinguishes their cultural influences. Thus, the stranger is a foreigner who is not accustomed to the customs and traditions of the other country in which they find themselves. The following paper deals with the image of the stranger and the associated characteristic of the barbaric. The focus here is on the figure.
