Die Familie vom Stadtpark

People on the fringes of society talk about their lives.Seven visitors to the Chur Stadtpark talk about their lives. They tell about mistakes and guilt, about their wishes and dreams. These people have simply had bad luck for various reasons, they have been disappointed and hurt. Their stories describe a sad life in what is actually a rich Switzerland. With touching words, they provide insight into a life as an addict, a life as an outsider - and why they are nevertheless something like a family.About the author:Romina Beeli was born on April 12, 1991 in Chur.After finishing secondary school, she completed a six-month internship at the Survival Assistance Graubünden in Chur. It was at this time that she first came into contact with people on the margins of society. The different life stories and experiences of the people from the city park touched her deeply. Because she wanted to give them her attention, she decided in the winter of 2011/12 to write a book with life stories of people from Stadtpark. In the fall of 2013, she completed a second internship in social services at the Beverin Clinic. Following this, she moved to South Africa for half a year. With many new experiences and impressions, she began her studies in social work at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in September 2013.Although her internship at the Survival Aid Graubünden was several years ago, she still visits the Stadtpark whenever possible and always enjoys impressive and unforgettable encounters. It gives me great pleasure to have been given the opportunity to publish the book in a revised form by a publishing house.
