Just before Christmas: Lea and Florent, a couple in their forties living in Paris, are expecting guests. A cozy dinner for four to celebrate Lea's birthday seems like a routine affair. However, during the dinner, the other couple reveals their intention to get a divorce, and suddenly the situation escalates. An unmistakable reaction at the wrong moment shakes everything up, and the respectable facade of their harmonious life as a couple collapses, giving way to a brutally honest reckoning, a litany of shortcomings and disappointments. This has the makings of a bitterly funny boulevard comedy, especially since Jim is a master of surprising twists. Therefore, one can almost be certain that it won't be enough to simply bring down the seemingly perfect world of a long-term relationship. After all, life continues on even after that.
