The First and Second World Wars are the great traumas of Germany. Catastrophes that continue to occupy us and that influence world history to this day. In retrospect, it seems that an endless series of unfortunate circumstances led to the wars. Many events of that time appear random, but also contradictory and puzzling. However, most developments in the first half of the 20th century did not occur by chance! And they certainly make sense.
