When the young elephants Matti and Maje find a large book in the desert dust one day, it disrupts the peaceful life of their colorful herd quite a bit: They read about a whole bunch of rules and commandments that they follow blindly without much thought. Only the little pink elephant Matti and his friend Maje are puzzled by the many new and especially strange regulations, and after an exciting adventure, they ultimately encourage the herd to think for themselves again.
