Die Blaue. Übungsgrammatik für C1

The Blue (exercise grammar for C1) is designed as a combination of reception and production grammar. It is designed to help you understand demanding texts with a higher level of difficulty and to formulate your own texts appropriately in a university and professional environment. It is a revision of the "Übungsgrammatik für die Mittelstufe" by Fr Clamer, E. G. Heilmann and H. Röller, which was published in 2002 as an extended version of the grammar of the same name by Fr Clamer, H. Röller and W. Welter in several editions and has since become firmly established as "the blue one" for advanced learners of German, particularly with regard to university preparation, both in Germany and abroad. After almost two decades, it now seemed appropriate to revise it. The structure and organisation ("Rules - Lists - Exercises") have not changed in principle, although some parts have been added. The exercise sections have been modernised and updated. In addition to some longer texts, which serve to introduce or summarise the overall presentation of the individual grammar chapters, they mainly contain sentence material both from the learners' everyday environment and from various academic disciplines - but in such a general form that it can be understood and worked on by everyone. Thanks to the appended solutions section, it is also suitable for repeating and consolidating previously acquired language skills in self-study. As with the older editions, the exercises in this new edition have been tested in preparatory courses offered by the "German as a Foreign Language" department (University of Münster Language Centre) and other similar institutions such as preparatory colleges.
