Die Biene und der Kurt

16 years old, chubby, short, quirky, with glasses as thick as beer mugs and a blonde "horse tail" sticking out at an angle from her head. This is Biene. Biene has escaped from a girls' home and meets the chain-smoking, hard-drinking pop singer Kurt at a godforsaken train station. Together, Biene and Kurt now tour the province in the clattering yet glittering "Heartbreakin-Mobil," playing in taverns, nursing homes, and breeding halls, encountering massive farmers, dancing policemen, landladies in red overalls, over a thousand turkey chicks, and experiencing some quite remarkable adventures. They come to realize that they are both actually searching for love. An atmospheric story about freedom, longing, the countryside, and two lovable misfits.
