Product details

Until the end of his life, Hans Braam never stopped quietly browsing anthologies in search of the eternal best list of German poetry. Much has solidified in this process, but some things have also been adjusted, making this new edition a true update compared to the first. Unfortunately, Hans Braam was not able to see it through to completion.

This second edition therefore also contains the most famous German poems, now compiled from around 300 poetry collections—100 more than in the first edition. One can be curious to see if the most famous German poem is still the same and what else has changed in this anthology of anthologies, which has long been a classic and looks wonderful in the home—or gifted—bookshelf, dressed in dark blue linen with gold embossing and a ribbon bookmark.
