Die belastete Partnerschaft von Eltern behinderter Kinder

This work addresses the topic of the partnership of parents of disabled children. The objective is to answer the question of which factors in living with a disabled child impact the parental relationship and how these are perceived by the couples. The theoretical part of the work deals with the necessary explanations for defining partnership and the changes that occur with the birth of a child. It elaborates on the everyday difficulties that arise from living with a disabled child, as well as the potential effects on the quality of the parental couple relationship. The empirical part investigates the research question through a quantitative survey of 24 parent couples and by conducting narrative interviews with 5 parent couples. Both methods yield results.
