This manual provides practical support for the planning, execution, and control of construction projects. It is primarily aimed at construction project managers, but also at all other professionals involved in a construction project, with its wealth of checklists, tables, and overviews. In its concise form, the manual helps users quickly access the respective task solutions during the often highly demanding phases of preparation and execution of a project. Starting with site preparation and opening, through site operations, to acceptance and often necessary evidence preservation, the author summarizes his many years of experience as a project and senior construction manager in a clear manner. Close to practice, he presents, for example, a checklist for the preventive securing of cranes and flow diagrams for interruptions or troubleshooting. Notably, the extensive appendix is available for download. It includes editable sample letters, checklists, and templates that can be flexibly adapted to individual requirements. In this 5th edition, topics such as BIM and digitalization in construction operations have been expanded. The author has also supplemented the topic of personnel work, such as employee motivation, with practical aspects. The site planning section has been revised, and a detailed chapter on the deployment of construction managers abroad has been added. In total, around 30 new checklists, samples, and diagrams have been included in the appendix.
