However, the global pandemic Covid-19, which has forced billions of people to stay home and led to constant store closures, can financially impact retailers who rely on this business as their main source of income. Nevertheless, it also paves the way for new opportunities such as the online marketing of fish products. Therefore, the researcher decided to conduct a study on the effects of Covid-19 in the fish retail sector. Additionally, the researcher aimed to carry out a comparative study with a special focus on the districts of Madurai and Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, India.
