Product details
The Eyes of the Eternal Brother is a legend by Stefan Zweig from 1922. Zweig adapts the ancient legend of the warrior Virata from the famous Indian epic Mahabharata. In battle, Virata unknowingly kills his brother and is thereafter haunted by the sight of his slain brother's eyes. Stefan Zweig (1881-1942) was an Austrian writer. In 1934, he fled from the National Socialists through London and New York to Brazil. On the night of February 22 to 23, 1942, Stefan Zweig took his own life in Petrópolis near Rio de Janeiro.
