Product details

Diverse Perspectives of Anthroposophy: Rudolf Steiner's Lecture Tours in the Netherlands 1921/1922. This volume contains all previously unpublished public lectures from two of Rudolf Steiner's trips to the Netherlands, the first in February/March 1921 and the second in October/November 1922. When Rudolf Steiner spoke in Amsterdam and then in other cities in February 1921, it marked his first trip to a non-German-speaking country after the end of World War I. As the title of the volume indicates, the range of topics covered in the lectures is broad. Steiner's discussions span from the threefold nature of the social organism to the essence of humanity, as well as philosophical themes and questions of supersensible knowledge in relation to science. The volume includes several documents that provide context for these lecture tours: newspaper reports, lecture announcements, and several facsimiles from Rudolf Steiner's notebooks, along with a travel report by Rudolf Steiner and notes on the text. A lecture in The Hague from February 23, 1921, has already been printed in GA 304 but is included here for the sake of completeness.
