The Exile Tales With a first published film novella by Anna Seghers Since February 1933 Anna Seghers lived in exile, first in France, then in Mexico. Despite the existentially extremely stressful circumstances, she was very productive. Besides great novels like "The Seventh Cross" she wrote many stories in different structures. It's the diversity of the characters that characterizes this period.
