Summer 1993. Sweltering heat in the Carpathian town of Midny Buky. Mischka is sitting in his parents' dacha, reading Edgar Allan Poe, listening to Pink Floyd, and in love with Dzwinka. Together with Hippie, his best friend, they create their own universe and isolate themselves from the outside world. As "brothers and sisters underground," they attract the hatred of Fedja and his proletarian gang. When hostilities escalate into outright terror, the three hatch a murder plan. Fedja must die. Inspired by Jim Morrison's song "The Celebration of the Lizard" and Pink Floyd's "The Wall," Ljubko Deresch tells a wonderfully lighthearted story about first love and the end of carefree youth.
