This anthology is dedicated to phraseography, a linguistic sub-research area of phraseology as well as lexicography, which deals with the systematic inclusion of phrasemes in general language or special phraseological dictionaries. Although phraseological research has been experiencing an unbroken boom since the end of the 20th century, phraseology and especially the phraseography of dialects or diatopic varieties is still in its infancy and often proves to be difficult, which is partly due to the lack of codification and the still widespread absence of corresponding corpora. This book addresses this burgeoning field of research, paying particular attention to idiomatic expressions and collocations and drawing comparisons with bilingual phraseography. After an introductory overview contribution on the history of phraseography and dialectal phraseology, the volume is divided into three topic blocks, the first of which deals with the phraseography of diatopic varieties of Romance (Genoese, Tuscan, Friulian, secondary dialects of Spanish, and the second with the dialectal phraseology of the Spanish language).dialects of Spanish in Latin America), the second on the phraseography of diatopic varieties of German (focussing on Swiss German and the endangered Walser dialects) and the third on the bilingual phraseography of Italian, German and Spanish. The collected articles present innovative dictionary projects as well as discussing metaphraseographic issues, thus providing an up-to-date overview of the status quo of the field.The aim is to provide an up-to-date overview of the status quo of dialectal and bilingual phraseography, which at the same time opens up new perspectives for future research.
