Diabolus

The cryptographic department of the US intelligence agency NSA has a secret supercomputer capable of cracking any code and thus any encrypted message in a very short time. The computer is used when terrorists, drug dealers, and other criminals obscure their plans using coded texts, putting the security of the USA at risk. In the past, cryptographers were able to crack hundreds of codes daily—until the day Diabolus came into play: a mysterious program that apparently overwhelms the supercomputer. The developer of the program threatens to make Diabolus public. If this program were to become the encryption standard, it would undermine the NSA's successful crime-fighting efforts overnight. The agency's employees are pulling out all the stops to eliminate the looming threat.
