The award-winning Swiss architects Wespi de Meuron Romeo are distinguished by their exceptional handling of the factors of material, place, and time. They gained recognition for the renovation of a group of houses in their hometown of Caviano in Ticino, whose characteristic stone walls would have a lasting impact on their architecture. Shortly before the turn of the millennium, the office founded by Markus Wespi at Lake Como was joined by Jerome de Meuron and, in 2012, by the young architect Luca Romeo, who developed artistic residential concepts with elemental effects.
