Since the publication of Götz Schregle's "German-Arabic Dictionary" over 40 years ago, Nabil Osman’s reference work presents a modern comprehensive dictionary for the Arabic language for the first time. The German-Arabic Dictionary showcases the general vocabulary of contemporary German and modern Standard Arabic (Egyptian Arabic), taking into account the regional variations of both written and spoken language. It includes numerous terms from all fields of expertise that are essential for adequate contemporary communication and for the original-language reception of modern literature and journalism. The dictionary features approximately 70,000 entries, including about 35,000 nouns, as well as 10,000 verbs and 10,000 adjectives/adverbs. In addition to single-word entries, idiomatic expressions and proverbs have also been included, along with numerous synonyms.
