Deutsch als Zweit- und Fremdsprache in Schule und Beruf

The volume covers the topic of German as a second language and German as a foreign language, which continues to be a pressing issue in educational policy, with a focus on the special demands on teachers and trainers in school and vocational education contexts. The Festschrift takes up central areas of research on the acquisition of German as a target language in educational institutions, which are primarily associated with the name Gabriele Kniffka. In the first part, practice-relevant concepts for the development of linguistic skills are presented. The second part reflects the linguistic and written language complexity of school teaching-learning processes at the level of professionalisation of teachers. In the third chapter, technical and professional languages are examined with regard to their implications for DaZ learners. The last part is dedicated to the recording of language levels at school, but also for university access.
