The integration of modern concepts of cost/performance accounting with regard to process orientation is a challenge in current ERP systems. In this book, the topic is presented on the basis of quantity-based cost accounting and the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 and a basic concept for the implementation is developed which can be used as a basis for further developments. The authors conduct an analysis of the cost accounting module of Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 with the help of an example company and discuss the possibilities of how business processes can be mapped in the system.
