I am too fat. No one loves me. I am a failure. Every day in life becomes a torment when you hold so little value for yourself. Here lies our actual "sore point." We have only inadequately learned to take responsibility for ourselves. It is all too easy for us to let our surroundings dictate what is good and right for us, adopting norms and behaviors that we anxiously align ourselves with.

This is where Dr. Dyer's therapy comes in. In his twelve counseling sessions, we learn a lot about ourselves. He gradually and gently alleviates our fear of engaging with ourselves, helping us to accept our weaknesses and strengths. By the end of his treatment, we understand how liberating it can be for us - and for those around us - when we can calmly take responsibility for our individual selves.
