Product details
When Ernest Hemingway travels to Venice in 1948, he is in a deep crisis. Severe depression has led him to not publish a novel for a long time. In the solitude of a country house in the lagoon, he tries to find his way back to writing. He finds support in the friendship with a young fisherman who accompanies him on duck hunts. But the love for an eighteen-year-old Venetian also brings him back to life. Slowly, a novel about Venice begins to take shape, while the young fisherman senses the atmosphere of a completely different story: that of an old man and his love for the sea.
