Increasingly, employees in technical sales or in the sale of complex services are being used as a link between the company and potential or acquired customers. Although many of them have completed a purely technical training path or a non-sales degree, they are expected to sustainably ensure and increase the company's sales and to be able to respond to market and environmental conditions with appropriate methods. Others are entrusted with initial leadership tasks in the sales environment and ultimately face the responsible challenge of securing or increasing team sales in the long term. In theory, anyone can sell, as every employee is likely capable of conducting a customer conversation, making phone calls, participating in a trade fair, or giving a presentation.
