Der Ursprung der Welt

This is no longer Paul Goullet's world: he, who loves old books and pictures, beauty, dreams and fantasy, finds himself in a time of chaos in Germany. To escape it, he travels to Paris, but France has also turned into a surveillance state. Whilst walking through the city, Goullet suddenly comes across something unheard of: an old photo album whose pictures apparently show him surrounded by elegant ladies and gentlemen from the 1920s. Intrigued, he sets off on the trail of his doppelganger and follows her to the south of France. Disturbing visions and dream images begin to haunt him, he seems to keep changing time and transforming into the man from the photo album. And the evidence mounts that he has a terrible secret.
