Product details
The qualified meteorologist Dr Wolfgang Thüne worked for many years for the ZDF weather service and the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of the Environment. In this book he shows that the 'greenhouse hypothesis' has a history dating back to the 1950s. US scientists, American secret services, mass media and compliant politicians created the weather-independent 'climate research'. The warning of an impending climate catastrophe and the deliberately fuelled fear of the 'heat death of the planet' caused by man-made carbon dioxide emissions made it possible to gain political influence. Dr Thüne shows in a clear, generally understandable scientific presentation that the climate hysteria generated is based on the false assumption that there is a CO2-induced greenhouse effect. Thüne proves the physical impossibility of this thesis, which in the hands of green apocalypticists has become a large-scale, manipulative 'greenhouse hoax'. The eco-socialist ideologues are concerned with the destruction of Western industrialised and affluent societies, the disruption of traditional performance-oriented value systems and the gradual establishment of structures of an eco-dictatorship. This book provides the necessary information about the meteorological and physical principles of weather patterns and about the political profiteers of the 'greenhouse hoax'. In 1999, Dr Wolfgang Thüne was awarded the 'Woitschach Prize for Ideology-Free Science' by the Woitschach Foundation for his book 'The Greenhouse Swindle'.
