Jack lives by the sea. He can see it from his window and loves to go sailing with his father. When he accidentally throws a plastic straw into the water during a sailing trip, the little boy feels guilty, but what can you do, it's just a small straw. However, when Jack wakes up the next morning, the sea is gone, and instead of water, mountains of trash rise everywhere. Fishing nets, plastic bags, and can rings entangle the sea creatures, and Jack tries to help. When he rediscovers his blue and white striped straw, he vows to protect the environment. Then the water returns, and an exciting day comes to an end, leaving Jack with much to think about.
