Der Stuhl

This book portrays people, and its photos tell the unique stories of their lives. For this, a careful and sensitive perception, as well as a genuine interest in the individuals I photographed, were essential. The idea for this photo book was to feature different people with the same chair. The chair served as a communication platform to visually represent the stories of women, men, and couples, while also acting as a common thread between the images. It was exciting for me to place the chair in the most diverse locations, even where it didn't quite fit. A total of 118 individuals have taken a seat on the chair.
