Product details
Sweden, 1991: Sture Bergwall, a homosexual drug addict and petty criminal, is admitted to the closed psychiatric facility Säter, north of Stockholm. There, he undergoes therapy and is treated with psychotropic drugs. During the treatment, he believes he remembers terrible traumas from his childhood and confesses to having raped and killed more than 30 victims as the monstrous serial killer Thomas Quick. Almost 20 years later, it was revealed that his confessions were entirely fabricated. His motives: prescription drugs, a desire for recognition, and the influence of his therapist and her circle, who believed they could make history with this case.
