Der Prager Kreis

Max Brod coined the term "Prague Circle" for the meetings with his writer colleagues and friends Oskar Baum, Felix Weltsch, and Franz Kafka. Later, Ludwig Winder also joined them. In his memoir, he not only writes about this group but also expands to include all the important Prague German-speaking authors. It is largely due to Max Brod's efforts that the literary public looks not only at Kafka but also at the other Prague German-speaking authors, shining a light on this small world within a Czech metropolis.
