Product details
Johannes Vianney (1786-1859) worked on his parents' farm until the age of 19, amidst the turmoil and persecutions of the French Revolution. He wanted to become a priest, but due to his weak talents, he only managed to achieve his goal with extreme difficulty and great effort. In 1919, he was appointed as the parish priest of Ars, a remote village with 230 inhabitants "lacking in love for God," as he was told. However, the intense prayer life of the priest and his tireless work in the confessional and in preaching quickly turned Ars into a pilgrimage site for countless visitors from around the world.
