"The Modulor" is a groundbreaking work by the architect and painter Le Corbusier, created between 1942 and 1955. This book presents a system of proportions aimed at establishing a mathematical order in architecture that is based on the dimensions of the human body. In the tradition of Vitruvius, the Modulor represents a significant modern attempt to define the relationship between humans and space. First published in French in 1948, the work is considered one of the most influential writings in the history and theory of architecture. The German translation by Richard Herre followed in 1953, making Le Corbusier's ideas accessible to a wider audience. With its 240 pages, the book offers not only theoretical foundations but also practical applications for architects and designers engaged in spatial design.
